The Seattle area offers a wide range of classes for those who both just want to have fun as well as up their game. Here is a list of some local places that offer both baking and cooking lessons. Hopefully you'll be able to find a class that suits your desire.
Dawn's Candy & Cake Shop is a great shop in Lynnwood similar to my shop. Dawn, herself, is an amazing person and will go above and beyond to help you. Her classroom is within her shop and offers a wide range of classes for chocolate, and decorating cakes, cookies and cupcakes.

Michele Sweeney is a cooking, baking, decorating superstar in every definition of the word. She offers a wide range of classes through North Seattle College. Her classes are very thorough and she clearly has a passion for what she teaches.

The Pantry offers all kind of cooking classes with over 30 instructors. One of the instructors. Marianna, who is one of my favorite customers, teaches at The Pantry. Marianna teaches cake baking and decorating from start to finish, French macarons and offers the British Workshop. Her classes fill up quickly so schedule early if you can.

Frog Legs Cooking School offers a w-i-d-e range of baking and cooking classes for both adults and kids. Offering numerous different instructors, they are able to offer a very large assortment of classes, workshops, and even parties.

PCC Market has sixteen locations and nine of them provide classes. They have a great demo kitchen and classroom on their upper floor at the Greenlake/Aurora location. They offer Cook-Alongs, Demos, Hands-On and Classes for Kids.
The King Arthur Baking School is the furthest location from Seattle mentioned by me but, hey it is so worth the lengthy drive. The King Arthur Baking School provides much more than a hundreds of types of breads. They cover the gamut from cookies to pies, cinnamon rolls to gnocchi, rainbow pasta to macarons.
